Status: local across central-southern and south-west counties, and South Wales

Typical habitat: stream and river banks, marshy ground, water meadows

Larval foodplant:           mainly associated with Common Comfrey and Hemp-agrimony

Flight behaviour: flies at night, but also during the day in sunshine

Flight season: June - July

Note: listed as a recognised day-flying (DF) species
