Status: common and widely distributed
Typical habitat: almost anywhere
Larval foodplant:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â various low-growing herbaceous plants
Flight behaviour: comes to light, but can be occasionally disturbed by day
Flight season: June - August, September - October
Note: there are two forms in the south, the individual below being f.remutata
