Designation: 'macro-moth'
Status: local in parts, mainly in Wales and the south, also East Anglia
Typical habitat: normally mature oak woodland
Larval foodplant:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â mature Pendunculate (English) Oak and Sessile Oak
Flight behaviour: flies at night, but readily comes to light
Flight season: April - June
