Status: local across the south, south-west and Wales, also in parts of East Anglia

Typical habitat: damp grassland, heaths, marshes

Larval foodplant:           mainly Greater Bird's-foot Trefoil, but also Common Bird's-foot Trefoil

Flight behaviour: frequent and conspicuous day-flying species on warm, sunny days

Flight season: May - June

Note: listed as a recognised day-flying (DF) species
