Status: common where suitable habitat occurs
Typical habitat: acid heaths and moors, local on chalk downland
Larval foodplant:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â heathers, but also trefoils, clovers and vetches
Flight behaviour: active by day and easily disturbed
Flight season: May - June
Note: listed as a recognised day-flying (DF) species
