Status: common and widespread apart from central and northern Scotland
Typical habitat: almost anywhere
Larval foodplant:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â lichens and algae on trees, bushes, walls, rocks etc., but also on Hawthorn leaves
Flight behaviour: flies at night, but comes to light
Flight season: July - August
