Brachydesmus superus is a small, 8-10mm long, blind, pale brown, flat-backed millipede that can be distinguished from Polydesmus species by having 19, rather than 20, body segments when mature.
It's a common and widespread cosmopolitan species that has been recorded from a variety of habitats.
