Identified by an expert and subsequently checked against the NBN Atlas records, which shows only a handful of sightings in East Dorset.

The updated classification of Ichneumonid Wasps confirms that Pimplinae is currently represented in Britain by 111 species in 32 genera separated into four tribes, Delomeristini, Ephialtini, Pimplini and Theronini.
