Ichneumoninae
Unidentified Species
HYMENOPTERA > APOCRITA | Parasitica > Ichneumonidae > Ichneumoninae
Considered to be a member of the Ichneumoninae subfamily, but with so many similar species it’s impossible to take identification further from this photo.
Ichneumoninae was our second largest ichneumonid subfamily after Cryptinae with 380 or so species and, perhaps surprisingly, remains in that same position even after the reclassification of the Phygadeuontini tribe, as the now recognised Phygadeuontinae still lists slightly more species.
