Nomada sp.
Unidentified Nomad Bees
HYMENOPTERA > APOCRITA | Aculeata > APOIDEA > Apidae
There are 34 Nomada species on the British list, many of which are so similar in appearance that they cannot be positively identified without microscopic examination. Although I’m reasonably sure that the previous individuals have been correctly assigned there are always going to be doubts. But if those doubts become guesswork, it’s best to file photos as unidentified, and rather than leave all those images on a hard drive I’ll include a few selected ones here for comparison and future reference as I’ve done with Andrena sp.
